Is There a Yoga of Technology?

In Yoga, we talk a lot about the physical body, but this writing is not about the physical body. It is not about returning to your breath, nor is it a deep inquiry about the placement of your heels on the mat. This article is about the tech body. How’s your tech body feeling? Have you said prayers for your tech body? Have you returned to its true source? Have you seen its real face in community? What is the shape of your tech body? How does your tech body do with change? How is it different than your physical body? My physical body is really tall, and its outer layer has very fair skin. There’s a lot of focus on eyes and feet whenever I refer to my physical body. I’ve got one nail that always gets chipped. My physical body needs coffee to make lists. My tech body is not quite like any of that. None of that describes my tech body at all. My tech body is more defined by its boundlessness. My tech body has parts I don’t know about, some not at all connected to the core. Some of these tech body parts do their own thing without any fuel or sugar. Then there are other aspects of my tech body that need constant interface with other tech bodies. My tech body is highly changeable, the changes are super fast and usually have their own soundtrack. This tech body connects with people I have never met in places far away from where I live. Its an oddly trusting entity.
